Blimey! Don't let anybody kid you that climate change isn't a thing. I'm staying here in London for the main summer months this year because, for this faint-hearted Englishman, southern Europe is just getting too damned hot. My sincere thoughts are with you if you're somewhere that has been affected by devastating summer fires.

But back to the music. And August's mix has some serious choons for you to digest. Starting off with Dave Leatherman, HP Vince and Bruce Nolan's "Disco invasion" which takes a tiny sample from Donna Summer's 1978 US number one hit Macarthur Park and squeezes every penny's worth of musical excitement from the usage rights. Result! I love Luca Martini and Nina Moon's "Desire". Some dancefloor classics make an appearance in various updated forms including Sharon Redd's "Can you handle it", Geraldine Hunt's "Can't fake the feeling", Jean Carn's "Love don't come easy", and Delegation's "You and I". I love George Kelly's update of the seminal Salsoul classic "Nice n naasty" which he's called simply "Nasty". Plus excellent disco from Mattei & Omich and Retide, Diskobar, Risk Assessment, OKPLUS featuring Emel, and Soultizer and Soneec, all mixed with love in London. Enjoy! XX
