Here's a first. I've included my own edits and bootlegs in my mixes before, but this is the first time I've included an original track of mine in a mix. I previewed it here a few weeks ago. It's called "Disco I Love You" or "DILU" for short and I hope to release it before Christmas. I've been working on a traditional extended disco mix of the song, which is not really my forte. I can see why artists and producers often ask someone else to do a remix: it's quite easy to get too close to a track. Having another pair of ears to do some work on it useful. Anyway, I don't have that luxury so I'll be downing numerous cups of coffee and doing a lot of walking around until I get it just right. Meanwhile, here's October's Disco Podcast featuring GooDisco, Stephane Deschezeaux, Steve Miggedy Maestro and Mortimer Snerd III, Block & Crown, Hotmood, Per QX, Stephan Duy, Birdee and Ron Carroll.
Meanwhile, one of the tracks from my singer/songwriter album "The Gift" has been picked up by a few playlisters and bloggers and is very slowly getting traction. It's called "Hello God :-)". You can check it out on all the music download and streaming sites. Here's a link to Apple Music. And the link to Amazon. And of course Spotify. It's also available on Deezer, Tidal, and YouTube Music. And don't forget every penny from every stream goes to Alzheimer's Research UK.

I've written here before about the surprising effort imbalance in the music business for independent artists like me, with most of the effort needed on the business side of things. But for the past week or so I've been back to the music. I've been working on the final parts of a Spanish language version of "The Gift" which is tentatively titled "El Regalito". Not every track from "The Gift" works in Spanish, so I've written some brand new tracks in Spanish which sit alongside covers, remixes and re-recordings of English tracks from "The Gift". One example of a new version is "Solo Tu" a loose translation of my song "All Of You" which is proving a little popular on Soundcloud where I've been testing the Spanish versions. You'll find other translations and new tracks there too. Please let me know what you think. I hope all the translating, editing, re-recording and remixing will be complete in time for a release of "El Regalito" early in 2026.
Meanwhile, in moments of intense creativity I continue to flex my disco muscles, by continuing work on the extended club mix of DILU. And I've just finished the first mix of a new disco track called "Play Mr DJ". And yes, I know I seem to be working my way through all the disco cliches. But why not? I'll post up a copy of "Play Mr DJ" here soon. See you then XX
